Purchased in July 22 and used for last six months nearly continuously. Unit works as advertised is quiet dual inverter is very energy efficient. Programming via the app is convenient. Single biggest complaint is the condensate drain. Its poorly designed and placed in an awkward location with no resevoir. I had to elevate my unit on a atand to create an adequate gravity drain. On a unit of this overall caliber otherwise this was a disappointment and hopefully is addressed in the future.

I bought this in August 2022. It is the best thing i have done. I cooled my basement which is 1685 sg feet. I kept it at 70 degrees f all summer with no trouble. I realize my basement is cooler underground than upstairs but it still would get around 80 degrees in the summer with nothing but fans circulating the air.. I love this machine

Our summers have been getting hotter and we finally broke down and purchased the LG air conditioner it has been a game changer. Our upstairs is now tolerable on the hottest days. An excellent buy my only suggestion would be to provide a kit so that the exhaust air can be vented through a sliding glass door not just windows. We found a kit for a slider door and it work fine.

Terrific portable ac. Sets up in a minute to a window plug in and whoosh it cools down a hot 95* room to it feeling chilly. Very impressive. Needed to get a separate kit for the sliding glass door leading out to deck in another room as it is floor to ceiling so too high and more panels needed. Overall 5 stars worth every penny as these summers get hotter every year humidity makes it all worse. And it isnt huge or bad looking its quiet fast-just completely satisfied. Review after second summer

We use this to cool our second story master bedroom with loft area. It is extremely effective at maintaining a cool temperature for sleeping when outside temps are well above 100F. We live on the eastern side of cascade mountains in Washington state where the climate is a dry mountain with cold snowy winters and hot dry summers. The two drawbacks are the fan volume can be pretty high to be able to move air throughout our larger space. The volume is not noticeable after a bit and turns into white noise. However when it reaches the setting temperature and cycles off the noises it makes turning off the motor and the abrupt silence is enough to wake you up. The same thing happens again in another 20 minutes when it cycles back on and the fan starts up again. Our solution has been to set the temperate low enough the fan never really turns off all night and to use a blanket. The second change would be a more universal exhaust frame. The issued frame is only for vertical or horizontal sliding windows and not casement or hopper windows. Its not an inexpensive air conditioner seems like an exhaust frame for all window styles is needed. I would buy it again as it is the most reliable brand for portable AC units in my opinion.

Nice looking and mostly does the job

It bought this unit to replace an older two hose one intake one exhaust unit of similar style. Ive had this unit now for just over 1.5 years and use it a lot in my home office. During the summer its running 24/7 for weeks on end. Mostly does the job but when the temps get above 100* it struggles to keep up in a 250sqft room. The exhaust hose gets hot so wrap it with insulation to minimize the heat return. On low fan settings it is much quieter than my old unit but nearly the same noise level at full. Would recommend overall.

Cools larger area than description

The unit was able to cool 2000sf down to 75 degrees with an exterior temperature of 102. This house was built in 1939 and has no wall insulation. Window are low tech. I considered installing central air but the portable is an adequate whole house solution. Note: it was only used for 12 days. I never used the remote. Reasonably quiet.

Doesnt deliver its BTU size/poor warranty service

I was excited to get this unit when I needed to add a second HVAC at my temp apartment. Unfortunately it didnt live up to the hype. The unit was quieter than traditional modelsbut didnt deliver the same cold air or cooling power as my smaller and older LG unit. It also stopped cooling about 60 days of use motherboard issue beyond my return date and Ive had no luck getting LG to honor its warranty for repair or return. Sat here like a paperweight during the August end Sept heat. Im frustrated with the cost the poor lifespan and the warranty service.

Great performance but dead after two years.

The portable air conditioner worked great and kept my garage cool so I could work there in Florida summers Good thing I bought the extended warranty since it stopped and the LG repairman said it was not repairable. However.... getting LG to act on the extended warranty is a long and arduous process even with their own repairmans field report. The air conditioner looks like new see photo

Did Not Live Up To My LG Expectations

Rated Average Do To The Following: 1 The discharge hose is poorly insulated and actually adds heat to the room. Had to purchase an insulation kit to rectify the problem. LG should provide proper insulation for the discharge hose. 2 Remote control requires line of site to operate the unit properly. 3 Would expect a PC app along with the mobile phone app to operate the unit remotely. 4 The unit is noisier then expected

Very Powerful and High-Performance Air conditioner

I bought the LG LP1419IVSM air conditioner when my central air conditioner stopped functioning. I have been using the air conditioner for seven weeks and it has functioned flawlessly. I have casement windows and constructed a foamboard piece of installation with an exhaust hose opening to fit where the window screen is located. Once the foamboard piece is installed in place of the screen the exhaust hose is taped over the foamboard opening to vent the hot air from the air conditioner to the outside. The portable air conditioner is a temporary solution until a new heat pump is installed. We have had temperatures reaching the upper nineties and the air conditioner has kept my house cool. I use a fan to blow cool air from the upstairs to the downstairs. The air conditioner is cooling around 950 square feet. Qty 1

Fast cool down relatively quiet and easy to use

This unit is a beast. I have it in a smaller room and it cools the room down in a matter of minutes. Same power/speed with the dehumidifier function. I like that the fan window oscillates up and down to move the air around the room better though you can freeze it in whatever position its in with the touch of a button. Its also fairly quiet given how well it works. I found I could leave it on during a work call using my laptop microphone/speaker with the LG unit only 6 feet away. The only compliant I have is that for those who are sensitive to changes in sound/volume when youre sleeping near it the compressor coming on and off during the night may disturb ones sleep. A white noise machine helped with that.

I purchased this LP Portable air conditioner because living in Florida you need to have a back up plan for cooling. After searching reviews after review this one was the top pick for 2022. Once we received the unit we followed the simple instructions and OMG it works like a dream. It will cool half of our house down if need be if our central air conditioner goes out. For now we wrapped it up and placed it in the closet for further use. It eases my fear of having no cool air during the hot summer months. Worth every cent we spent

Not worth it

Bought this about 1.5 years ago. I keep getting error codes CH 29 that comes up. Spending this much on a unit to come up with this is beyond frustrating. I have another unit not lg for the living room that runs more and still functioning with any error will not be getting LG again. Go to Costco buy one of those unit

We purchased this unit a few months ago we were looking for something that could cool a large room and be quiet at the same time. Its very difficult to find a quiet AC that can do the job. Our local appliance store did a great job at finding this one for us it cools the room and we can sleep at night I would highly recommend this unit to anyone.

Excellent A/C unit

I bought this for a small apartment for several reasons. One was that I did not want to bother installing and removing heavy window units each Spring and Autumn. Second was that I didnt have sufficient storage to handle the units in cooler months. Third was that I wanted the flexibility to open windows when there wasnt a pressing need for air-conditioning. The LG portable works very well. It cools the living room during the day and then moved into the bedroom at night. Its easily as quiet as the window units I had and probably quieter. The casters work well making it easy to move from room to room. Its a breeze to install the window mounting. My only criticisms are: would have liked a longer power cord havent needed to drain it but it looks a bit clumsy since the drain tube is so low to the floor. Although its not inexpensive I am very satisfied with the purchase and would do it again.

Arrived Non-Functional Lengthy/Costly Repairs

Unconditioned Air 8/7/2022

Completely disappointed in LG. Purchased last year right after the record-setting heat waves in Seattle 117 degrees w/o AC unfortunately by the time I could find ANY AC unit at all it was cool enough to not need them. I made sure it turned on let it run for 20 minutes and put it away. Fast forward 11 months its hot again Take out the effectively brand-new unit turn it on it runs for 30 minutes but never blows cold air locks up and flashes an error code. Its just within warranty but no LG repair technicians are available. It takes a week and a half of super high temps to schedule a non-LG contracted repair tech to come look at the unit with an appointment window of 2pm - 4pm. They arrived at 8:30pm because the tech was so overbooked. The tech was very surprised LG wasnt simply replacing the entire unit as it was practically unused. After in-depth diagnostics it was determined the main board was faulty on delivery. The unit would run but the main board wasnt delivering power to the capacitors which means the capacitors couldnt deliver enough quick power to start the compressor. No compressor no conditioning of the air. A new main board now has to be ordered and delivered a new appointment scheduled the board replaced and Im still without AC with a 90 degree house. Bottom line this expensive unit was not there for me when I needed it and LG did the bare minimum to correct it. If LG wanted to take care of a customer right the unit should have been promptly replaced with a new one and the old unit refurbished for resale. Instead I get the run around while LG and the repair company check just enough boxes to call their job done.

Quiet and effective

I originally didnt want to invest in an expensive machine so I bought another portable ac. But that ac was super loud even in sleep mode to the point I either wake up due to the heat or stay up due to the noise. I ended up returning that as unit and invested in the LG ac unit if youre on the fence about this unit Id say just buy it. Youd save yourself a lot of wasted time and energy dealing with no ac. Now I sleep in a cool and quiet room.
