I tried to replace the one I had bought several years ago it was supposed to be the same size as that one - it is not the interior is like a cheap small refrigerator there's no room it's very narrow inside . The freezer is so small you cannot actually use it for grocery and the drawers have one setting on the refrigerator that cannot be changed per drawer " as you would have the same items in all three drawer " . I will be looking for another brand it's very disappointing I waited over 3 months to get it as it was always babkordere .

A bit disappointed

We had the 42-inch version of this unit in our former home, and put the 36-inch in our current home after a remodel. Never had a problem with the 42-inch and loved it. However, this unit hasn't measured up. Installed in October 2018 ; had to replace the ice-maker unit in December 2018; now waiting to get the parts to replace the control panel in the freezer that tells the ice-maker when the bucket is full. The water spillage we had before replacing the ice-maker has returned. Hoping the next service will fix it for good.

Developed a problem almost immediately

We bought this refrigerator in July - it was finally delivered in October! It developed a leak in the ice tray almost immediately. The part took over a month to be delivered. Not a good experience and would not recommend this product.

Really do love the refrigerator; however, was very disappointed that Don's Appliance installers had to order a part that was broken/missing on refrigerator. We were unable to use the water/ice feature until repair was done following week. This caused the installers and a repairman to come to our home - they had to uninstall, fix, then reinstall refrigerator. Otherwise, do like the refrigerator. I was shocked at the cost of the refrigerator - $8,900+ I don't think I will ever buy another built-in refrigerator.

Love my new Built-In Side-by-Side

I love my new KitchenAid every time I open the door. It's like a theater of food! We replaced our old built-in Subzero in the same space and haven't looked back. Somehow for the same cubic feet the layout has increased our available shelf space. The LED lighting is awesome and makes everything look more appealing. The PrintShield finish completely works as compared with our other stainless steel appliances.

Happy with KitchenAid

It has only been a couple of weeks but I am very pleased with the way this looks in my kitchen and it's performance. I replaced a 21 year old built in with custom panels. I didn't want to pay more for new custom panels to match my cupboards and it turns out I didn't need to. The fingerprint resistance stainless steel looks very nice and it does indeed resist smudges and fingerprints. The inside is well designed and I really like the in-door ice maker...more shelves available for food!

Wanted the 42" but didn't want to completely demo the cabinets, afraid this one would be too small, it's not! It's perfect and didn't have to do much cabinet modification, it's big and really spacious. Impressive product! If you don't want to do a major cabinet demo, this is for you! The ice make wasn't working, so they are replacing the unit. No biggie, these things happen and they were willing to honor their product!

Everything about the product is first class. The only flaw is a storage bin in the door does not lock into position when attempting to place or retrieve items freeing up both hands. You have to hold the bin door open with one hand and use your other hand to place or retrieve.

We replaced our 23 yr old SubZero with this fridge. The look is streamline & we love, love, love the finger print proof SS finish! This is what sold us over competitors like GE Monogram. The filter is very EZ to change & installation for the built in was very easy. Fit like a glove. If you have children or large family ice maker is not fast recovery...although perfect for 2 people. Love this product & would recommend it to anyone looking for a 36"W built-in.
